Missy graduated from Life University with a degree in dietetics and completed her dietetic internship there. She is currently pursuing her license to become a Registered Dietitian. Missy discovered her passion for nutrition’s role in mental health and eating disorders while working with clients in these areas during college. At Torn, she has developed expertise in the connection between nutrition and mental well-being, helping individuals manage conditions like depression, anxiety, and eating disorders through personalized, evidence-based nutrition plans.Missy’s holistic and compassionate approach creates a safe environment for clients to explore underlying factors behind disordered eating and develop healthier coping mechanisms. She advocates for intuitive eating, body positivity, and self-acceptance, supporting individuals with body dysmorphia and low self-esteem.
