Steven Furtick

It might surprise you to know that around one out of every five adults in this country are currently living with some form of mental illness. If one out of every five people you come into contact with on a daily basis struggle with some form of mental health disorder, think about what that means when you look around the office. Think about what this means when you attend classes or a social event. Think about what this could mean inside of your own home.

This statistic can be extremely difficult to consider for most. It’s intended to be a brutally honest and accurate take on the nature of mental illness, and the growing need for treatment that affords the depth to effectively treat mental health disorders. At Torn, we seek to provide a comprehensive approach that addresses all issues causing dysfunction in the life of an individual. In addition to our offering of the traditional methodologies of individual therapy, psychiatric services, group therapy, and family programming, we also strive to offer holistic measures to assist in the improvement of your mobility, physical wellness, and nutritional balance. Regardless of what brings you to our facility, we seek to provide you the comfort in knowing that you are not alone in your journey.

Modalities

CBT is one of the most well-established of the skills-based talk therapy treatments used by mental health professionals in the treatment of mental health disorders. The core premise seeks to challenge distorted thoughts and behaviors, thus prompting positive mood change and a higher level of functioning.

DBT – Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

DBT is most effective for those who struggle with self-harm, borderline personality disorder, and other self-destructive disorders such as chronic relapse and substance use. DBT leans on the utilization of four core modules to create change-oriented strategies with the goal of reaching balance in lieu of dysfunction.

ACT – Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

ACT is designed to bring patients to a place of acceptance regarding the hardships they have experienced in their lives, ultimately leading to a state of cohesion between their values and actions.

Forward-Facing Trauma Therapy

Forward-Facing Trauma Therapy is a process in which we resolve our distressing past while living a principle-centered life in the present. It’s intended purpose seeks to lower stressors arising from past trauma while learning to live a life based around resiliency and intentionality.
